Weekly Recap

Weekly Recap for 9/20-9/26
The Fake People Epidemic

I know my blogs have been very scattered this week. So I apologize, it's been one hectic week! But let's recap what we've learned. The epidemic of fake people affects everyone in some way, shape or form. Although some may not agree, people who have not yet "found themselves" do fall into the category of fake people solely based on the fact that they are bound to do or say something that they don't really believe in just because their backbone hasn't been developed yet! These people may not lie as frequently BUT they do stunt just as hard cuz they are insecure! They tell us they can do something when they can't. They tell us they make 20k more then they actually do. They claim their favorite color is red when they are constantly in blue!

The world would carry on much smoother if we all just owned up to ourselves. At the end of the day, WE are the only ones who have to look at ourselves in the mirror each day. Why avoid the mirror, so to speak, when it's much more beneficial to ourselves and to those who support us, to create an image we can look at everyday, without regret, hesitation or a pep talk!

Music and media - not a category you would think about when discussing the issue of fake people. But we have become a society who heavily depends on the media to "inform" us about current happenings, trends and fashion. Because of this, we now have 14 year old girls on diets because they think their fat at 90 lbs. We have little boys mixing cough syrup and Vicodins because Weezy said it's fun and we all have polluted ears from listening to the garbage on the radio!

Here's my bottom lines... if you are famous, please understand that you are a role model; take a good look at what image you are portraying to your fans. If you are just a regular person, understand that your image still holds weight with the people who love you. Your impression is just as important as someone in the lime light, the only difference is that your image isn't viewed by as many! Remember that. One of the most truthful sayings I have ever heard was "to the world you maybe one person, but to one person, you just may be the world." Read into that quote for a second, apply it to your own life. And let me know if you can think of that one person (or people) in your life that may have changed their opinion of you because of your actions (or lack thereof.)

What did we learn this week.... BE YOURSELF!!!!! Once again, Jo Jo Said it!!!!
