About Me

My name is Jo Anne-Patricia, it might not ring a bell now, but trust me, it's a name you'll soon never forget. Welcome! This is Jo Jo's world. A place where you can laugh, learn and hopefully open your eyes to  "different" perspectives on things. This is a place where aNyThInG gOeS and one will NEVER be judged for their opinions!

I started writing at the very young age of 12; with hate poems! Yes, yes, I was just as theatrical then as I am now, at 27. Those infamous hate poems on napkins, slowly turned into baby love poems for my friends to give their crushes. Then I took a Writing Enrichment class that changed my life. HuGe ShOuToUt to Mr Rice, wherever he may be. It was this wonderful man who uncovered my passion for writing and exposed the talent that I have for it!

Since that 8th grade Writing Enrichment class, I have been published in newspapers such as The Daily News, Newsday, The Bellmore Life and The Bellmore Herald. At the age of 19, I self published my first Poetry Anthology entitled, "Scattered Thoughts from a Scattered Mind," which can be purchased at www.LuLu.com. And as corny as it is, I am very proud to say that my name been "Googable" since I was 21 years old! Yaay me! =) My articles, thoughts and opinions can be found on various websites and blogsites throughout the Internet. Stay tuned every Wednesday for my Recommendations of the Week where I will be randomly mentioning these sites (and others) for those of you out there who enjoy writing as much as I do.

Although anyone who knows me knows that I have more than enough opinions to fill this blog on my own. However, this is not just about me (as much as I would like it to be!) This is a place where you can enjoy a good laugh and also find the "best of the best." There is so much talent lurking amid not only my generation but the younger generations as well. Like all talent, all it takes is a little exposure. Who knows, maybe this could be that chance for someone! The power of words and pictures can be amazing if used properly. Always be sure to say what you mean, mean what you say and always capture the moment. I'm a Kodak kinda girl myself!!!

Hope you enjoy. And remember, always tell em Jo Jo Said It!!!!
