This week's Air It Out may cause a sudden shock to some of you, as I break down some personality traits of the common closet hater. While reading this blog, some of you may, at some point, discover that you can relate to what I'm saying. Let me take this time to say, that if this should happen, you are in fact a closet hater! You may wanna look into that!
The infamous closet hater is the person who is paying heavy attention to you as you're talking about your latest accomplishment. He/she never interrupts. They stay relatively quiet, yet their body language and facial expressions suggest they are interested in what you are saying and share your same level of excitment in discussing it. Yet, as soon as you've reached your "point;" they ask you an ignorant ass question that implies a flaw or downside to your game plan! Seriously, there is nothing more fucking annoying!
Closet haters are usually good hearted people with chips on their shoulders; they haven't yet realized their bitterness. They feel their question was perfectly logical and hater-free, because they lack their own success. How could they be happy for yours? They see the downside in any situation, despite how far fetched it may be. And to top it off, they usually have the strongest opinions about successes they haven't yet accomplished themselves!
We all know at least one person who fits this next description! Have you ever had a conversation with someone who flips everything you say into something that has to do with them? Or turns the conversation in a completely different direction; away from your point? CLOSET HATER STATUS!!
The single friend who has either never been in a serious relationship or hasn't in a while, who points out every flaw in your relationship... CLOSET HATER STATUS!!
The corney ass males who try to win over a female by kicking her boyfriends back in.. Yup, you got it... CLOSET HATER STATUS!! (Note to the males who are shaking their heads right now saying, "that's not true..", consider this a public service announcement ... you are not only a closet hater but you are corny as hell and need your own game!!)
The flip-sided females, who kick their own boyfriend's back in, as a way to let another man know she is unhappy and in creep mode ... You are equally at a CLOSET HATER STATUS and should read the announcement above!
And remember ... Jo Jo Said It ... u know what to do with it!
